Mellie started as a Law Clerk at our Firm nearly three years ago. Over her time with the Firm, she has played an integral role in every stage of litigation gaining hands-on experience in insurance defense, including workers’ compensation, general litigation, and employment law matters.
Mellie received a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies at the University of North Texas. Thereafter, Mellie earned her Juris Doctor at Creighton University School of Law where she graduated Cum Laude and was inducted into The Order of The Barristers, an honor society for graduating law students who demonstrate exceptional skill in trial advocacy, oral advocacy, and brief writing. Mellie also graduated with Pro Bono distinction, having completed over 200 hours of service throughout her law school career. During her time in law school, Mellie competed on the Advanced Trial Team and International Mediation Team and placed first alongside her partner in the Moot Court Competition.
Outside of the office, Mellie enjoys doing home improvement projects, hiking, and spending time with her family and dog, Finn.
